“Aeronautical Engineering is the science involved with the study, design, and manufacture of flight-capable machines, or the techniques of operating aircraft. “ It has two major overlapping branches like Aeronautical Engineering and Astronautical Engineering.  Aeronautical Engineers design primarily aircraft, spacecraft, satellites & missiles. In addition, they create and test prototypes to make sure that they function according to design.

Aeronautical Engineers may develop new technologies for use in aviation defense systems and space craft. Aeronautical Engineers develop and design some extraordinary technologies such as : supersonic jets, helicopters, space shuttles, satellites and rockets whereas Astronautical Engineers mainly works with science and technology of space craft and how they perform inside and outside the Earth’s atmosphere. This includes work on small and traditional large satellites, cube sats.

In Aeronautical Engineering, Engineers have to work with other professionals involved in designing and building craft, space craft and their components.
