THREE DIMENSIONAL OBJECT RECONSTRUCTION FOR ROBOTICS

Image
3D Measurements is still being a great challenge. Although a lot of research is involved in stereovision systems, most of the geometrical problems can be minimised when the system is used for industrial applications. Moreover, light control can be achieved allowing better segmentation results. The Robotics and Computer Vision Group at the University of Girona is involved in 3D Measurement developing systems for either research or industrial applications. Coded structured light is based on the projection of a light pattern that has been previously coded in order to solve the correspondence problem. Then, this light pattern is projected onto a scene and the captured by a camera. Linear a nonlinear calibration are used to model the camera and the pattern projector. Triangulation is applied to obtain 3D reconstruction of the scene and a single pattern projection allows the system to measure moving objects. Some application of this technique has been tested in an underwater robot as we d...

Importance of Technology in Education

Technology plays a significant role in educational field. Math, reading and writing skills can all be improved using technological advances. Students do not have to bear with mundane learning cycles anymore as more and more teachers are gravitating towards the use of interactive tools and media for making learning interesting. Students can prepare for their future using educational materials that are easily available, thanks to information technology. Teachers are able to deliver content effortlessly to students and can also research complex subjects in the classrooms itself. It is not just teachers and students who benefit from technology but also educational administrators and parents. The benefits of technology in this field can be summarized as below: 1.       Technology encourages learning in a positive manner 2.       It improves students’ skill sets 3.       It helps prepare the future workforce. Examp...

CURRENT ENVIRONMENT PROBLEMS THAT OUR WORLD IS FACING

CURRENT ENVIRONMENT PROBLEMS THAT OUR WORLD IS FACING. The  world environment  is going too much worst condition day by day as we use our natural recourses indiscriminately and fail to manage our waste. Our total environmental condition deteriorate in everyday life but we yet not concern ourselves for save us from different types of natural calamities and extinction of several types of animals spaces groups, it is true that only human are responsible for polluting environment, but if we have a little bit concern than it will make us positive thinker to save our environment. Population explosion: The first and foremost emerging problem in the world is  population explosion  that directly impact in our environment and every vital element of our environment such like water tree ,air,&  many other things . It causes poverty inflation of money, high price rate of daily commodities and creates thousands of problems which are too hard to solve us. ...

GOAL SETTING

The 80/20 rule is one of the most helpful concepts for life and time management. According to this principle: 20 percent of your activities will account for 80 percent of your results. It can change the way you set goals forever. The 80/20 rule is also called the “Pareto Principle” named after it’s founder, the Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto from 1895. He noticed that people in society seemed to divide naturally into what he called the “vital few,” or the top 20 percent in terms of money and influence, and the “trivial many,” or the bottom 80 percent. Later, he discovered that virtually all economic activity was subject to this principle, in that 80 percent of the wealth of Italy during that time was controlled by 20 percent of the population. We can take Pareto’s 80/20 rule and apply it to almost any situation. In particular, we can apply it to goal setting and productivity. How to apply 80/20 rule to Goal Setting First, take a piece of paper and write down ten goals...

3D Printing

Introduction 3D printing or additive manufacturing is a process of making three dimensional solid objects from a digital file. Additive manufacturing            refers to a process by which digital 3d design data is used to build up a component in layers by adding materials. The term “3D printing” is increasingly used nowadays as a synonym of additive manufacturing. 3D printing is the opposite of subtractive manufacturing which is cutting out a piece of metal or plastic with for example a milling machine. History Chuck Hull invented the first 3D printing process called ‘stereolithography’ in 1983. In a patent, he defined stereolithography as ‘a method and apparatus for making solid objects by successively “printing” thin layers of the ultraviolet curable material one on top of the other’.   SLA-1, the first 3D printer invented by Chuck Hull in 1983, https://www.3dhubs.com/ ...
